Advocacy

At UR the Cure, we're passionate about making it easier for people to join the blood stem cell donor registry. Australia has fallen behind the rest of the world when it comes to stem cell donation, so we work with various organisations to explore ways we can improve donor recruitment, with a focus on the bigger picture and how we can improve the system as a whole.

For example, we connect with key groups like the Stem Cell Donors Australia, Red Cross Lifeblood, governments and health ministers, and other charities such as Cancer Council Victoria and the Leukaemia Foundation. We also attend conferences and raise awareness through media outlets.

If you'd like to support our advocacy work, please consider making a financial donation. UR the Cure operates almost entirely on a voluntary basis, and your contribution helps cover things like travel and other associated costs. You can also stay connected with us on social media and get involved in our advocacy campaigns—whether that's signing petitions, completing surveys, or writing to health ministers. Every little bit helps!
